I found the Old concord Cemetery looking for my great-great-great-great grandfather Robert Armstrong. It was very hard to find. But was suprised
that it was taken care of so well.
I am a blood clary that goes back to Thomas Clary, Robert Armstrong, Jack Armstrong, through Royal Clary, Walter Lee Clary, and his brother was Roy Clary Clary, both born in petersburg Ill. Roy Clary was my grandfather and died in Klamath Falls OR. I live in Medford OR. I have a complete list of my direct ancestors going back to about 1630. Please conyact me.
I would really like to collaborate with you on this. My Great-Grandmother was Virginia Elmira (Vergie) Armstrong. She was the Daughter of James Taylor Armstrong. James was the son of Hugh Armstrong (Brother of Jack Armstrong). When I was younger my Great-Grandmother always told us that we had ties with Abraham Lincoln. I found those ties with the Clary Grove Boys. I would really like to see what you have and share the information I have with you. How may I get in contact with you.
Sir.,
Walter Lee Clary is my Grandfather. I never meet Him. He was in OR before I was born. I am the family member that returned to TN. I am about 1 hour from White Co. Never found anything here related to Clary.
I was just curiouse as to how I could get more information on the clary family history..
I have tried to look for as much info as i could but i dont know much about my family or where we come from..
please if anyone could help me, it would be very much appreciated.
I’m a Summers descendant. Joseph Summers (1730-1809) m. Eleanor Clary (1738-1802) is my 7th gr-uncle as I descend from his brother Dent Summers. I’d be happy to share info. Here’s a relationship chart link on my website showing my connection to Joseph & Eleanor:
You may also be interested to know that I and a fellow researcher recently completed a research paper on William E Summers (1811-1836), a member of the Immortal 32 of Alamo fame. William was son of Jesse Summers (my 1st cousin 7x removed) m. Sarah Coate(s), son of Joseph & Eleanor. The Alamo museum will be undertaking to change their plaques honoring William to show that he was b. in SC vs. TN. Also, the Texas Historical Commission will this year be erecting a roadside marker at his 1835 Mexican Land grant near Hallettsville, TX.
